The California Air Resources Board (ARB) has posted feedback letters submitted by members of the public following workshops held in April on proposed regulation of oil and natural gas methane. The feedback letters are available online.

The hearings and proposed regulations are in response to the California Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006 (AB 32), which has the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions to 1990 levels by 2020.Part of that effort is controlling methane emissions from crude oil and natural gas operations.
